Well... not what I was expecting but not going to complain. multiple readings over the 30min or so I've been awake averages to 315ish. Not sure what to make of it considering the seemingly trollish nature of my scale but gonna record it like I said and call it a win
The drop does match what I ‘feel’ I ‘feel’ as if I’ve lost over the week. I ‘feel’ the day over day improvement. The disconnect between that ‘feel’ and the scale does set up some cognitive dissonance in my analytical geek brain. No big deal but it is annoying to my inner engineer. :P
Just gotta keep reminding myself of what is important which is the ’feel; and the other tangible evidence of how things fit and what one can do (babbling here helps with that reminder).
On another note. I’ve begun adding ginseng to my plan for a number of reasons. I don’t like taking pills and such so pick some in powder form to add to my shakes. Tried to add some to my tea this morning and… well the result was suboptimal. 1/4 teaspoon induced a very strong woody/bitter taste. :D Oh well, just gonna grimace and knock it down and move to the next experiment with morning cuppa number two.
I hope everyone as a good day and leave you with some ‘fortune cookie’ wisdom…

Well, I'm thinking my scale actually did troll me with the 317 reading and I've actually been stalled at the 319/320 mark for a few days. Going to see what the reading is tomorrow morning at the normal weigh in time and use that as the new mark. Depending on what it says I may move macro targets to a 30 Protein/60 Fats/10 Carbs mix and try harder to consume closer to 1100 cals a day to see if that kick starts things again.
Picked up some 80/20 ground beef to do up some of my own smash burgers this weekend or experiment with a ground beet noodle-less lasagna or casserole type thing. I found a site that will gen up a ‘nutritional label’ based on a recipe you input. Seems like a good way to keep track of intake when making a meal with multiple servings. We’ll see how ambitious I get.
Hope everyone has eating plans set and are ready to enjoy the weekend. Cheers everyone!

At the end of 2 weeks of doing IF and feeling really good about this strategy. No huge strides number wise but feeling good in body. It fits the way my day to day life works surprisingly well which IMO is key for any approach to all this. I feel this will become the long term 'baseline' meal pattern with situational deviations as needed or desired.
Coffee and work time at hand. Hope everyone as a good day, review your plans and execute accordingly.

Today is done, got home with just enough time to toss together a protein shake and knock it back before my eating window closed.
I did, as you might have see, had a negligible slip in execution of my IF plan. A small thing that really doesn't matter or have any impact over all. But is was a very clear reminder that one needs to keep the head in the game at all times. It wasn't that I had the diet Mt. Dew at the wrong time (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Its that I was totally unthinking about it. If it had been a conscious decision to say 'puck it' and have it early that would have been fine to me. I was the total mental disengagement that I 'arrrghed' about. That is what, I feel for me, I simply can't afford.
Reminder and lesson noted. Keep the head in the game and make mindful decisions. Whether that decision is to stick to the plan or say 'puck it' and indulge in something is irrelevant. Just have your mind fully engaged in whatever action you take or decision decision you make.
Have a good evening all. Time to have some green tea while sitting on the porch and watch the neighbors yard furniture blow down the street. Its Wind Season... what we call spring around here.

Well crap. inadvertently broke the fasting window with a bottle of diet mt. dew. never knew it had some calorie content. oh well, no regrets because I wanted the taste, but lesson learned and tomorrow is another day.
