Oh oh. We have company. That means more food, more drink and likely less exercise - vow to fit it in somehow. Managed a short walk post-dins. Missing dancing...gritting my teeth and resolving to do better no matter what!

Mardi Gras started last Sat. nite & continued til Wed morn. I had a great time but the calories went up like a rocket! Jambalaya! Whiskey-sauced bread pudding. But we did dance our boots off doing the Cajun 2-step for several hours. I'm not too happy with my lack of self-control but keeping active had helped me hold the line. I didn't log in for 3 days...(she said shamefacedly)!
This week company arrives. As we all know, that's more drinking, more eating, more, more, more. So this time I'm going to print out my personal challenges and keep them on my dresser so every morning I try just a little harder to "tow the line". It has to be a life-style thing. I'm liking my results, small steps tho they may be, and I know I can do it. Already jeans are fitting better, tops have stopped gaping, and my energy levels are up. People: there are other rewards besides that number on the scale!! Send me positive thoughts, plse - I'll need 'em over the next 2 weeks.

Seem to be slipping motivationally. Have to up my exercise! Got to the pool but wasted time chatting, socializing when I could've been doing lengths. Doesn't upping the social side pay off in some way? Just moving that old jaw up and down, aka chin wagging, must burn a few calories???

Oh what a bad day. Fell badly off the wagon - did try to keep it low but really blew the RDI today. Lack of exercise didn't help. Should've gotten to the gym. Instead entertained friends most of the day, food, drink, riverside bar, ate out...indulged in dessert...fresh start tomorrow...Fresh start tomorrow!!!

It's been a busy but full day. Fell off the wagon; caved into sweet cravings. Managed it so so. I like that Starbucks actually tells you the calorie count of their goodies. I indulged in a rice krispie treat.
Can do better and WILL! Am determined. But tomorrow's challenge will be manning the Bake Table at our local bazaar. Surrounded by sweets. Plus I baked two pans of squares today. It's like a drug addict playing with drugs. I intend NOT TO CAVE tomorrow!!!
