I've only lost a small amount of weight, but I feel much smaller and less bloated. I had taken measurements when I started this, and this was the first time I've ever taken my measurements (mostly because I don't want to really know).
I was shocked. I've been doing some moderate activity--10,000 steps per day and three sets of reps per day using my flexible bands. Nothing at all like killing myself at the gym.
In one week:
I lost .75" in my waist, 1.25" in my hips, .75 in my thigh, and 1" in my arms!!!
I really can't believe it. I'm proud of myself for facing my measurements. Now I have this other measurement I can use to keep track of my progress, and my success.

I get really angry at myself sometimes. So angry that I almost put every single pound back on. Angry that I thought the way to deal with my miscarriage was to be "go easy on myself," and that "easy" was to allow myself to eat and drink whatever I wanted. When will I understand that in times of weakness and pain I need to stay MORE in balance with my food, my exercise. That my physical well-being and my emotional and well-being are closely linked to each other.
Once again, I'm avoiding seeing people, making a recluse of myself because I'm embarrassed. ARGH.
Some of this comes from being raised by a father who was a perfectionist. I'm a perfectionist too. I need to take live one day at a time, one hour at a time some days.
Freezing outside and thinking about walking around the mall to get to 10,000 steps.

Followed my food plan really well. I found my old pilates DVD and made an exercise room in the basement for me to workout. Never had that before. I'm curious to see how that helps in the long term. Also a great room for meditation. I went for a walk in the snow yesterday in the late morning and it was gorgeous. I've never done that before, and I'm so glad I bundled up and headed out. There's a big storm settling in and I'm hoping I can head out for a walk later. If not, maybe I can get to the mall and walk around there? I think the 10,000 steps is key to me keeping the weight off. I need to be more mindful of the easy steps I can take to keep my weight under control.
