Wanted to get a quick take on how I’m fairing with my weight loss, and holy hell, 1.7 kg. That’s 3.74 lbs in 4 days. I know this is not healthy, or sustainable, weight loss. Guessing it is due to 2 days of huge calorie deficits. That wasn’t the plan, but they happened. Haven’t had an opportunity to get any physical activity in this week. It’d be nice to find an indoor area where I could walk, it’s been cold, rainy, and super windy the last couple of days and will continue for a couple of more.

Got my walk in today, 2.70km (1.68 mi). Legs burn, ankles hurt (doesn’t help I have pins in one of them), knees ache (again doesn’t help that they’re bad, surgery on both a little more than 25 years ago). As John Mellencamp said though, Hurts So Good. Almost went for one last night, but my legs were still a little sore from a walk on Friday night. Hoping to get 3 walks of around 2.50 km (1.55 mi) in per week for now, possibly push one of those out to 3.22km (2.00 mi) to get a full 8.05 (5mi) in per week, and then either getting in more walks per week or longer distances as I work up more endurance.
Note: I rounded numbers so it won’t add up correctly.

Ended up falling off the wagon for several months. While I started my diet at the end of August 2018, I didn’t really get into tracking my diet routine until around mid-September, 2018. Then things went bad for me in mid-October, lost a temp job I had recently started and started driving at nights for Uber/Lyft and the holidays were then upon us and the diet went by the wayside. I’ve been experiencing all the same symptoms that made me want to lose weight 7 months ago. Just getting started again today with the diet, though I did get a little bit of exercise in twice this week with walks of 1.18km (0.73 miles) and 2.50km (1.55 miles). Using an app called Zombie Run 5K to help with motivation to get in physical activity, which I was not doing previously.
