Weigh in day today and down 5lb. Very happy to be on my way, that's 5lb gone and never to return (major finger crossing situation)
Had all my toilets backed up, toilet training a small fellow who likes way too much paper. My brother stepped in and thankfully we can flush safely again.
Made some sheperds pie and added lots of veg to mine, mashed some cauliflower and a small bit of potato together to make topping. It was good. Don't think I would like the mashed cauli on it's own but mixed was ok.
Heading into week 2 and feeling positive about it.

Wow . . . great weight loss. Congratulations with the toilets. I still have my second one backed up. Not sure what the grand kids put down it. Can't afford to call a plumber. Can you send your brother, please. LOL!

Congrats on your first week weight loss! It is always so exciting to be down a large amount. Be prepared for the second week slow down. Perhaps you'll be luckier than I, but the first week I lost 6.4 lbs and only .6 lbs the second week. However, I'm hoping that I was replacing fat with muscle since I started exercising again. The challenge is keeping motivated and I'm sure we both can do it!!!! Best of luck to you!

That's a wonderful loss! Congratulations! Mashed cauliflower is pretty good. If you are doing low carb you can also add some butter or cream, which makes it even more like potato. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Thanks all, I expected a large loss this week due to being the first week and my size. I can well imagine it will slow down now but 1lb a week would be great, anything more would be a bonus. Joanne, send the fare he would come but the plumber is cheaper. He has rods which he used to free the drain, one rod was all he needed and it freed. Perhaps a neighbour could lend you rods. Good luck with it. Thanks again all, it's lovely to feel supported. Doirin
