Busy,busy week. Went to eye doctor and found out that I need eye surgery. So Dec 16th I'll be having correctve surgery on one eye and then the other eye will be done at a later date. I just don't have the time for this inconvience. Too much to do to get ready for the holidays. I need to try harder to stay on goals that I set. Still am eating too many Atkins Bars and not enough vegetables.

Over the last few days I've been able to incorporate some vegetables into my meal plan.I'm making a concerted effort to only have 1 Atkin's bar per day.Today I choose to have 4 eggs for breakfast in lieu of the Atkin's bar that I usually have.I did have it later this morning.My craving for food has increased and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with my addiction to those d_ _ _ tasty bars.
I'm quite anxious today. My daughter is leaving on a trip to Paris, France and will be there for 2 weeks. This is her attempt to prove to herself that she can function on her own once again. She's been sick for quite sometime and is now feeling better.Hopefully I won't turn to food to squelch my feelings.

I've decided to start a journal. Last time I tried, I lost interest after a few entries.My weight has fluctuated by about 5 pounds over the last year which I guess is good. However, my eating habits are horrible.I've found that, if I eat over 10 or 15 carbs I tend to gain weight. So, my 1st goal is to increase my vegetable consumption without gaining weight and to not depend on Atkins Bars(which I must admit are more tasty than veggies) for fiber and half and half to calm my hunger.
Since I spend over 2 hours per day commuting and have a very stressful job,my 2nd goal is not to depend on my retired husband to have dinner ready for me.I'll just have to prepare things ahead to reheat when I get home and also have lunch ready to take to work.There is a cafeteria at work and I usually have a salad with romaine lettuce, gargonzola cheese and bacon with dressing, but with the dressing is probably not too healthy. We don't eat together so he really doesn't consider me when he prepares his food. We eat quite differently since I have severe food allergies.
So,I am confident that you all will inspire me to hopefully succeed with this quest as I hope I can help you with yours.
