OK. How do you gain weight overnight? Experts say that is water weight. And I think it is true. I gained 0.6 lbs overnight, after a day of lower than recommended calorie intake and exercising more than I have done in a long time. I did drink 64 oz. which is 48 oz. more than usual. Ha!
I weigh myself on a digital machine, which also calculates BMI, Body fat, Body water, and records on an app called FITINDEX. It did not show a relative increase in Body Water.Anyone else have experience with these? How accurate are they, really?

Have been losing some weight, due to vegetarian diet in Dec and January and generally smaller portion sizes. Have been trying to mindfully eat better lately. If only I loved to cook, life would be easier! Anyway, my goals are
Vegetables and Fruits, incl. Green Smoothies-- More of these. " MyPlate" advocates that these should fill half your plate, and I am nowhere near.
Water-- I have gone days with no added water other than what is in my food and my 2 daily home made low fat lattes. My goal is to increase it to 6 cups a day.
Sugar- I love sweets, but am generally very disciplined, with how much I eat. More and more, research is showing that Sugar is Baaaad! So, I am trying to cut down further.I will probably have 1 cheat day for a dessert, but otherwise work hard on this. This means less processed food, probably no boxed cereal for breakfast, unless I find a sugar free one.
Proteins-- Just 2 days of recording my food intake has made me realize my protein intake is at the lowest recommended and need to get this up. Unfortunately, cannot eat Soy regularly.
Fats-- My body does not do well on very low fat. Feel hungry all the time. I am going to go easy on this, but try more of the healthy options rather than the saturated ones.
Vitamins-- Need to remember to take these daily, and better combos.
Exercise-- Again, a major Achilles heel. I have let my strength and stamina down by extended couch surfing and this WILL change.

1st day of Fatsecret. Accidentally came to this, looking for calorie count of a banana. Amazed to find that I burned more calories than I ate. Not convinced. How is it that Grocery shopping burns 191 cal while slow walk at 2 MPH burns only 128 calories.
