I NEED TO TELL SOMEBODY!!! 😭😭😭😭 omg! I haven’t jogged in over a month because I decided just to focus on workouts!
Today I decided to jog and OMGGGGG the second I started I felt the difference! The power! The intensity! The strength of my stride! 😭😭😭😭😫😫😫 i felt like Bolt! A few seconds in and i was in my head thinking ‘sis you are running now!’ i felt so proud i had to do it a few more times to believe that this was my body doing this 😢😭😭😭😭😭 guys i wish I could show someone (ok my mom was with me) she was watching me and she said she could see a huge difference 😭😭😭😭😭 i am so grateful for this body and what it can do! My shins are in their glory but I’m probably gonna run again because that felt unreal! I was running like an athlete 🏃🏽♀️
Practice gratefulness and celebrate these improvements not just the weight loss!!! Celebrate strength, speed, endurance, flexibility! Celebrate being an able bodied person!

Yesterday I was reflecting on my relationship with working out. How a few months ago I would always be so in my head all the time, loathing working out and now I love it, it’s less about losing weight and more about moving. How i do a different workout everyday day and I think about what muscle am I going to challenge today, how much stronger am I since my last workout. My mind has totally shifted wrt my motivation for working out. I am addicted to the post workout endorphins and I’m so grateful that I am at this point! The mental hurdle was the biggest barrier.
I needed to stop doing video workouts. I needed to stop thinking that I needed to do 10 different exercises in order for my workout to count. Those things demotivated me because it looked long and tough. Instead I took 5-6 workouts, that way it is easy to remember and i did as many sets as I could. That way things are simple, less complicated and that’s what made the difference for me. Since applying this to my workouts my motivation has changed.
