I am a 32 yo mother of 2. Brianna, 12 and Matthew 7. I have been married to my wonderful hubby since June 1997. (My DH is also on the Atkins plan with me)
I am a 911 dispatcher for my county. I have been in this profession for 2 years now and totally love my crazy work environment. I work 12 hour swing shifts sitting on my rear for the whole time, mostly by myself in a little room. Because of my work environment I found that I had gained about 15 lbs in the 2 yrs since I started. Not that I was thin when i started but when you already have some extra baggage 15 more is even worse. I knew I had to do something when I put on shorts from last summer and wouldnt you know it, they didnt fit.
My sister started Atkins a couple years ago and was so successful with this way of life and has kept off the weight that she lost. But I always thought that it was just asking to much to do this. Then sitting here at work one day I decided to start looking for a way to "fix" my problem, and all I kept thinking about was my sister and how well she had done.



****update 5/04/2011*****
...as of yesterday i am back on track! I let life and all its lil headaches get in the way of what I needed to be doing. When I found that I was now 10 lbs heavier than when I started the very first time I sat down and cried. After I dried my tears I decided the ONLY option was to do what I knew worked. My husband and I decided that it was time and that this time it was for good. A complete lifestyle change not just a way to lose the weight.
