im confused... how big must your deficit be for you to lose weight and maintain that weight-loss?
93.5 kg Lost so far: 2.2 kg.    Still to go: 23.5 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

There is no 'must be' but a good deficit for weight loss is 500 to about 800 calories. But also remember the minimum RDI for a female is 1200 so don't eat less than that.

it's easier if you're more active as well :) the more you burn the easier it is

you have to figure out what works for you on the long term so it might take some time. le personally ( and I've researched it works for others as well) i worked out my goal weight. then i worked out how much i need to eat to maintain that weight. then i aimed to eat just under it. so basically i started eating as if i am already thin. that way you are already maintaining a habit you can keep after you've lost the weight so you probably won't pick up again if you keep eating like that. if you don't loose anything, try eating 100 calories less and then give yourself time. it takes longer but it'd more sustainable

@mandy thank you, I didnt know that a female should eat 1200 and not less than that. I appreciate each and every one of you, i am still figuring everything out and trial and error... i just need more motivation some days than others .... 😪

@lallie, is there any way you can maybe explain it a bit better for me ? I understand the concept, you are saying that you basically eat the RDI for someone of the weight you want to be.. and a little less than that?
