I have hit a 3 week rut. I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks and I am becoming extremely frustrated. I have decreased my caloric intake, increased my cardio time by 15 mins and increased the weight on machines and dumbells by 5. My diet basically consists of low fat/high protein. Any suggestions on how I can lose my last 4 lbs?? I am in desperate need of advice.

Well.... from watching The Biggest Loser and reading a lot of Jillian Michael's books and articles, etc... I can think of a few reasons why you are not losing pounds. 1. You are gaining muscle and losing fat (especially by upping the weights.) Record your inches lost to see your progress. 2. You may need to up your caloric intake depending on how many calories you are burning. You can't burn calories when you aren't getting enough. 3. Change up your fitness routine. I don't know what cardio you are doing, but try something completely differnt. 4. Drink plenty of water and get as much sleep as possible. Both of these are as vital to weight loss as proper nutrition. Looking at your food diary, it looks like you are doing really good! Keep it up, and don't get discouraged! I have been stuck at 153.. but I haven't had an impeccable diet....

Thank you for your advice. I'll try to change up my cardio routine a bit more; right now I vary between the tredmill & elyptical, I'll try throwing the bike in there to change things up. I'll also reasess my caloric intake and drink more water (i'm so bad about that). Goodluck to you and your weight loss goals as well!
