Ok....I can tell it's the end of the month because the cabinets are bare, and I usually end up eating whatever is there. Eeek! Friday is grocery shopping day, so it will be better. However....I bought the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred workout dvd...and I LOVE IT!!! That is seriously 20 minutes of intense workout!! I'm trying to figure out how many calories you burn doing it though? Any ideas?! I will keep looking and let you know if I find out.

Isn't it a tough workout?! I think its great! I tried to find out calories burned but no luck - I end up charting it as heavy calisthenics - If you find out let me know. You go shopping once a month?!! That's incredible! I have to go once a week and sometimes have to go twice! What am I doing wrong?

When money is in short supply you shop when the money is there, at least that is how it is for my family. I buy 5 pounds of hamburger meat in a roll and package it into 1/2 pound baggies and 6 pounds of boneless, skinless, chicken breast once a month and everyone gets 1/2 a chicken breast (which is about 1 serving). When I cook I always cook enough for left overs so one meal feeds two nights at least and I use one baggie of hamburger instead of a pound to cook our meals. Fruits and Veggies and lots of them, Big Bags of Cereal, Several boxes of oatmeal, stuff like that. Just thought I would give you a tip on how my family stretches a dollar and still has a healthy meal every night of the week.

I have to get my fruit and veg weekly and keep everything in fridge - Florida heat doesn't keep things fresh long...

I hear so many good things about the 30 Day Shred. I think I might get this DVD as well. Biggest Loser Bootcamp is also really good.

Love 30 Day Shred. Been doing it since February 5th. Didn't take measurement til March 1st and this month dropped 8 inches overall, mainly in my target areas, hips, waist (I have c-section abs) and thighs! I have bought the Boot Camp and plan to start it this month and do a different level of the two DVDs everyday so I don't get bored.

Oh no...I have to shop weekly! lol!! The end of the month just usually falls weird with bills and paydays. Thanks for the tips. I run into so many problems buying groceries though because of my two year old with Celiac Disease. I have an appointment with a dietician to help me get more ideas on what to feed the poor child. I feel like food is the enemy in my house....and it truly is. He has done a lot better with the gluten free diet, but he is still a finicky toddler....so it's VERY frustrating sometimes. I LOVE the 30 day shred!! How long was it for you guys before you moved from level 1 to level 2?

I did 10 days of level 1, 10 days of 2 and now I'm on my 2nd day of level 3 - It was really hard to go up a level and I had to modify but I wanted to push myself - after 10 days of level 3 I'm going to go back to level 1 again and repeat until the challenge I joined is finished. Then maybe I'll try a different dvd - we'll see - maybe I'll try the boot camp - I hadn't heard of that one either!
