I am back! I have had a lot of things happening in my life lately. I finally went to the doctor and wound up having my gallbladder removed. Apparently, I had gotten so caught up in taking care of everyone else, I didn't even realize how sick I really was. They did emergency surgery because I was high risk for it rupturing!! Thank goodness I finally took time out for myself. The doctor started me on Phentermine last Friday to help me lose weight and I am being monitored. I feel good because I know I have professionals helping me. I know it's not a magic pill, so that's why I am back. I am ready to commit to losing this weight. Summer here I come!!

Did you have gallstones? I have them. But I am trying to live with them and avoid the surgery. How has it been for you? I'm so glad you're back. You've totally been missed.

Yes I did. I had so many they couldn't count them all. The surgery is very simple really. I had it done at 7:15am....and I walked myself out of the hospital at 3:30pm the same day. I had my two kids by myself the very next day. I guess all I can say is be careful with the stones. I had no idea how bad mine had actually gotten, and it could have been really really bad. Thanks!! I have missed you guys too!

As far as I know I just have a really big one. I haven't had an attack in a while. Part of why I had to start eating better. Did you have a really bad attack and that's what caused the emergency? Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I'm just pretty sure I'll have to get it done eventually.

It's no prob! Ask away! Well...after I had my first son, a month after I had my first one. It was TERRIBLE! I didn't have another one until I had my second son, and then I started having them frequently. I stopped eating fatty foods as best I could and it helped a lot. I had two episodes that put me in the ER, and none of the doctors would listen to me. Every female on my mother's side had theirs removed by the age of 21, and I am 25. I knew that's what it was, but nobody would even do an ultrasound or anything. They would always say, "it's just a bladder infection", give me some pain meds and send me home. I finally went in to see a regular doctor for a routine physical, and my lab work came back that my white cell count was through the ROOF! He asked me if I was sick, I said no. He asked if I was in pain, and I told him no, but then I mentioned my gallbladder. He had me get an ultrasound about an hour later. I was scheduled with a surgeon two days after that, and then it was removed two days after that. They said I couldn't wait any longer, that I was at risk for it rupturing. They said the didn't know how I was getting by and that I must havea high threshold for pain. My response was..."I have two lil babies...I don't have time for pain :)"

Welcome back! And I'm very glad you avoided an emergency and got that gallbladder taken care of! And now you're back with a vengeance, and I'm glad! How's the phentermine working?

So far and I can't tell a real difference. The first day I took it, it was almost immediate that I wasn't hungry and I had so much energy I thought I could run 5 miles! lol! But by the fourth day, I'm not really feeling that way. I am going to call the doctor on Friday if it hasn't changed. I have been told that they might have to up the dosage. We shall see :)
