Unfortunately I live in a small town with not much else to do in the evening but go to the pub. That is what makes it so hard because I love catching up with everybody when I go.

Wow, congratulations. But I can see you'd want to "catch up" with everyone, and I think that is a positive thing. You sure don't want to isolate yourself. Could you now, or in the near future, drink something else like water or tea? I know it would be hard to resist. Could you have just one of those super light beers like Ultra, which has 2.6 Carbs. and 95 Calories? I suppose it doesn't have as much flavor, but of course, you are going to have to make changes in your life to lose weight, and adopt a more healthy lifestyle. Could you stop at one? Let's see if I can remember the saying: "Suffer the pain of DISCIPLINE or suffer the pain of REGRET". I am working on my discipline, so you sure aren't alone. That is what Fatsecret is all about. If you want to see some cartoons or sayings, read some of FullaBella old journals, they are full of them.
