I am hitting a plateau! I have been up and down daily! I know most of it is water weight, the heat in AZ depending upon how much you are outside severely affects your hydration. I find that I have been craving salt as well. These two combined make for odd weigh ins. I have been honing my dietary regiment and I think I need to ease off a bit. I eat many salads and that has been great because I am full and satiated; however, I can eat 3 salads with trimmings and I am under 450 calories total. Yesterday I forced myself to have a snack that I would have normally never taken to get my calories up. I still ended under 1000. This number is against my own advice for myself and others. Today I weighed in higher, and I had cardio yesterday. I think I am too much in my own head (which is a bad thing). I am not at a size yet where this should be so tough for me. I think I need to be around 1200 a day but I need to recalculate my BMR because I should be losing even if I am retaining water. Anybody run into this sort of thing?

Yea this heat here in AZ is insane. Have to drink water all day if even just out running errands. Sweating a lot requires a good level of sodium intake. It has been a bit humid and actually rained last night. WHAT?!. So, the dehydration potential isn’t quite as bad as it could be. Stay cool. Stay safe.

It is normal to weigh higher after the day after a workout. Also, if you eat to little calories for too long, your body starts trying to store energy by reducing your metabolism. Try eating 1500 (or an excess of whatever you use that day) calories every 3 or 4 days if you are consistently below 1500. Yes, your weight will likely go up a little bit the next day. But, it will reignite your metabolism and when you drop the calories down after the excess day your weight will start dropping faster again. At least that works for me.
