Weight has always been a tricky concept. The term "skinny fat" is something usually reserved for conversations in personal training circles.
This is where someone might be skinny, but due to a lack of muscle mass they have a higher bodyfat percentage.

This is always my concern, to see people lose weight, especially if they under-eat, which then negatively impacts not only the metabolism but also eventually quality of life or physical performance metrics, if you will.

We always advise to rather than merely looking at the scale, also acknowledge things like, energy levels, fat percentage, how do you look in the mirror, do your clothes fit better... (you could gain weight and be noticeably leaner and toned with reduced centimeters)

Once again, thank you guys for being awesome. Blessings for your health, wealth and love.

Regards
Rudolph

I believe skinny fat occurs where there is something lacking regarding diet or overendulgence. Also without proper and regular exercise. Including weight training with your cardio and a well balanced diet will definitely aid in converting muscle.

Exactly. If there is a lack of muscle mass, then it affects your metabolism and physical ability. Losing weight is great, but not if it is at the expense of muscle. Resistance exercise, coupled with sufficient protein intake, while maintaining a lower overall calorie intake is the key.
