Wow! This was actually so unexpected for my first weigh in. One week in and I have lost over half a kilo! I had steeled myself for no success at all due to an amazing weekend away for a work Christmas party which was indulgent to say the least; topped off with a baby shower for a family friend (also indulgent). This does actually work! I wasn’t the best at logging over the weekend (especially after a Thai banquet) but stuck to my guns for at least 4+ full days out of the seven. I have probably picked the worst possible time of the year to start this weight loss journey but week one is certainly encouraging. Onwards and downwards! ⬇️

Welcome aboard 👋 Any time is a good time to start this journey... I postponed it for decades and there is now some damage done that is not going to bounce back 😬 so the sooner you begin, the less damage done to your body and the sooner you will reap the rewards 💪

Thanks Liz - I think you’re right! Have to seize the day and act now - it is only getting harder the older I get!

well done just keep at it and do not be hard on yourself. It is normal to slip up , if this happens just ignore it and carry on.

There's no bad time to start a diet! That said, I've always allowed special occasions to bend the rules on my past failed diets, and they've very often been my downfall. One cheat day for an event easily turns into a cheat week which never ends. This time around I've had to instigate a zero tolerance policy on "cheating" because I can't be trusted!

I was your weight one year ago and weight came off quickly at the beginning. As I got closer to my goal it got harder. You have to stick with it every day and if you have a bad/yummy day just pick up your diet the next day. It's hard and I have been permanently hungry but I am not going to stop. Good luck!
