I'm now on my second day of the Dukan diet. I lost a pound this morning, which was probably mostly water weight. Still, it was encouraging. Honestly, if the trend doesn't continue, I don't know how long I will physically be able to stick with the diet.

Since yesterday afternoon, I have been experiencing a lot of fatigue. I don't feel particularly tempted to eat anything outside the diet, but I feel that my energy has been completely sapped.

I think that this energy dip might be due to an insufficient number of calories consumed over yesterday. To get the same number of calories that I would in a normal day, I would have to eat enormous quantities of protein. However, I don't particularly enjoy eating enormous quantities of anything, let alone lean meat/lean dairy products.

I'm going to stick it out, at least through the attack phase, to see what happens. Has anyone out there experienced similar fatigue in the preliminary stage of the Dukan diet? Is it just a phase?
