I have a question. I started this journey just over 3 months ago and cut out pasta completely. Last week to give myself a break, I had some pasta, hours later I was feeling very full, and bloated, could not even get water or a cup of tea in. I just thought I was full from the pasta which I had for lunch. When I went to bed, I couldnt sleep as I was having cramping and bloating. I thought once I had a bowel movement it would ease up but i suffered with this cramps and bloating till the next day. I never ate the next day as I was still feeling full from the day befre nd supper came nd I skipped that meal as I jst couldnt get anything in at all. On day 6 I went to the Dr, as I had not had a bowel movement for 6 days and the cramps never went away, and this also seems to point to the last thing I ate which is the pasta. Dr gave me medications to help me move things along and also for the severe cramps I felt and I also had some prune juice as I jst did not like the way I felt. I think I know the answer to my question, but jst thought I get confirmation here. Is pasta the root of this entire problem, that has blocked me up so bad? I never had this reaction to pasta before, is it because I cut it out completely for 3-4 months? and then suddendly ate some? Is this a gluten intolerance issue now?

The same happened to me after eating pizza for the first time in weeks. Well at least the intense cramping and bloating. I think your body wasn’t used to the all the refined carbs after not having it for so long. You could give whole wheat pasta a shot. I have it about once a week now without any problems :)
