Shawn Murphy's Journal, 10 Dec 19

Sick, tired, and the cravings are real.

That said, I think a lot of my health issues I attributed to having refined carbs in my diet may actually have been due to a lack of Vitamin B12.

When I did keto my energy levels skyrocketed, I stopped getting ocular migraines, and most importantly depression and insomnia subsided. I thought it was something in carbs being cut that did the trick but now I'm thinking it was that I was still potentially deficient in B12 so I'm going to try supplementing it daily for a couple months to see how I feel.

Will not be low on B12 when keto (if you do it right). I get energy from being in ketosis. I just feel good. B12 supplements if you do not keto is probably good.

I cut out all refined carbs over a year ago. I still have snacks, but rarely. If you don't already have a B12 suppliment, I'll suggest the one I have used for a while now, Organic Vitamin B12 (Methyl) Liquid Sublingual Spray by MaryRuth Energy Boost - Sugar Free - Non-GMO Vegan - Gluten Free - Paleo - Bariatric & Celiac Glass Bottle 1oz-3000 mcg. Mary Ruth's stuff is on Amazon.

Thanks for the suggestion :) I'm trying my luck with 16:8 intermittent fasting as well. Fingers crossed and good luck to anyone seeing this on reaching their goals <3
