Losing 0.9 kg a Week
19 April 2010
I'm back to using fatsecret after an extended break.
I am sticking to a more low calorie high activity diet. I'll be doing cardio daily.
One thing I am stuck on now is homemade smoothies. I know I could make them lower in calories and should now that I am on a diet but it is my indulgence. Below is the original smoothie recipe that will be edited to make lower calorie:
This makes about 3 servings that me and my sister split into 2 large servings:
3 bananas
3 scoops non-fat supermarket brand frozen yogurt
1 cup of whole milk
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup strawberries
1 cup frozen Blueberries
After inputing the individual ingredients on my fatsecret I discovered this is about 400 calories per large servings. To high on my diet. To make this more healthy and lower calorie I think the edit recipe will be more like this:
2 bananas
2 scoops non-fat supermarket brand frozen yogurt
1 cup of 2% milk
1 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup strawberries
1 cup frozen Blueberries
1/4 cup crushed ice
I'll let you know what these calories add up to.
I traditionally have this with a
spinach and turkey bacon omelet
in the morning with one piece of buttered toast. I will edit this recipe to make lower in calories.
