Everything has changed... First, my eldest daughter was weighing herself this weekend and weigned only 51 lbs. on my scale... I'm thinking, hmmm ... she's 9 years old and is a bitty little thing, but, still, she's got to be nearer to 60 lbs. than that. So, I went out and bought a better scale, and sure enough, she weighs 58 lbs., and guess what that means for me...!!
I was finished with my preweek for the Fat Flush Plan last night and had planned to start the 2 week Phase 1 today. BUT, last night I watched a program on T.V. on TLC called "I Can Make You Thin" and I really liked the components of it. It's a 5-week program to start, and it addresses emotional eating, which is one of my key issues. So, I've decided to postpone starting the Flush and try this out and see how it goes. If I'm happy with it, after the 5 weeks, I'll still do the flushing part of the Fat Flush, which is sort of like a cleanse. We'll see what happens. I started the new plan today and so far I feel really good about it.

I decided to go ahead and weigh in today - I have lost weight and want to share! I feel pretty good and have not had any "whites", but made chocolate chip scones for my daughters snack today and had more than I planned to. I make the scones with whole wheat pastry flour, agave syrup and grain-sweetened chocolate chips, so it technically is not a cheat, but one would have been better than two! I am looking forward to starting the flush next week and feel pretty encouraged by having lost 5 lbs. just in the preweek. I had a meeting in my elder daughters class today and every mom but me is thin and fit...I feel like such a lump. I just have to remind myself that I am on my way!

Well, I've been off the "whites" since Sunday and I feel pretty good, esp. since I have had the flu the whole time. My trick has been to drink a glass of water everytime I feel like snacking. So I've upped my water intake and decreased my snacking. I was down 4 lbs. this morning, but I'm going to wait til Sunday to record a weigh in so it'll have been one week. We'll see where I'm at then. I convinced a good friend (who lives halfway across the country from me)to start the same time I am with the Flush. It'll be fun to do it together. I'm hoping to feel well enough to get in a walk today - I'm really missing getting outside. I'm sure my dog would appreciate it too!!

Well, this is the third time I've done the Fat Flush Plan. I'm starting from scratch as of this minute, which means no whites (sugar, flour) for a week before I can start flushing. On both previous occasions I experienced great results and I felt great! I am really hoping that, this time, I can lose it and maintain the loss. I gained my weight back twice now after we've had two big moves and I was stressed and ate whatever was available during moving time. I am excited about the prostpect of feeling better and getting healthier and feeling better about my body. I also want to set a great example for my daughters which I do not think I am currently doing. I just calculated my bmi and was really shocked to find that I am in the high risk range. It's time to do something about it.
