I am feeling pretty good. I am down 4 lbs most of which I know is water loss but its still a good feeling to see the scale going down. I did have a moment of weakness yesterday. My SO bought peanut M&M's and they are my weakness. I did have a few and then I tried to compensate that cheat by having a high protein energy drink. I think I must have had nearly 70 grams of protein. (smile). I am going to start working out again. Since my knee injury its been hard to workout but I have to do some type of moving. The weight comes off faster. I am going to keep doing what I need to do to lose this weight...Its so worth it.

Well I had another good evening. I did some research online especially on this site and found some really great low carb recipes. I got home from work and made a low carb breakfast quiche (which I am enjoying while writing this post) and I absolutely love it!! I know I can do this its just a matter of winning the battle over what my mind thinks it wants my mouth to have. I got homoe from work last night and I was able to keep myself from eating things I knew I didnt really want nor needed. I preoccupied myself with other things and before I knew it the feeling subsided. I bought a bunch of SF gum which is hleping me not want to eat the bad food. I feel good!!! I am victorious in this fight.

I got through the weekend and although I didnt go overboard I didnt follow the diet like I should have. I know that I have to take this on as a way of life and not as a "diet". I am learning to not be so hard on myself and to try and remember the accomplishements that I have achieved. I would rather lose slowly and permanently then do the up and down with quick success. Its a daily journey that I have to learn to walk one step at a time.
I am using various sources in efforts of equipping myself with the tools for success. I have to learn to cook and eat in a healthy manner. Its not easy eating healthy when unhealthy is usually cheaper and quicker but again, its a learning process.

Okay so I am finally back....I realized that despite everything going on that I need to worry about my health. I had a tragedy in my family which led to some very unhealthy eating and before I knew it I weighed in at 259 lbs. Thats wayyy to much for me. I know that Atkins works for me and now I have to just get myself back on track. It would have been to easy to just say I will start on Monday so I am starting today. Making myself accountable and recording what I am feeling so that I can get back to a healthy weight.
I can do this!!!
