My notes regarding The 5 Factor Diet
1. Low fat protein
Aim for 1/3 of your total calories from protein.
2. Carbohydrates
Glycemic level below 80
Two portions each meal (50% of total calories)
3. Fiber
Each meal should have 5 - 10 grams of fiber.
4. Healthy Fat
Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fats.
65 grams or less per day
5. Sugar-Free Beverage
Drink 8 - 12 oz. each meal
Drink between meals as well. Total recommended: 40-60 ounces a day

I have an online acquaintance that has been following the 5-Factor Diet and doing quite well on it. I picked up the book over the weekend and just started reading it. I will officially start on Thursday, May 1st. I am looking forward to communicating with other people here that are also following the program.
