Even though I was within my macros percentage, I overate carbs and on 12/17/19, my mojo machine this AM fasting says I’m 0.5 ketones, so I’m at the lowest end of ketosis by most medical definitions.
So for today 12/18/19 I’m going to be pretty strict.

I usually do monthly weigh ins, but jumped on the scale first thing this AM just to see. 4 pounds! Yea!
I knew I was in ketosis all week and my clothes were fitting much better, and I’m feeling better.
I will likely weigh weekly just through the remainder of December, then after a January 1st weigh in I’ll go back to monthly.
I like to do monthly so that I’m not obsessed with the scale, a huge problem I’ve had in my past.
Also, I’m doing this not just for weight loss, it’s for all the other benefits of keto that are also a focus for me.
I have not started using my Keto Mojo meter to measure glucose or ketones yet. I am planning to watch the getting started videos on their website today, play with it and start in earnest this evening or in AM
I had a relaxing weekend and just sort of chilled. This week is busy, my husband has a doctors appointment that I will attend with him, we have a new washer and dryer that will be delivered, I’m organizing, cleaning and preparing the house for houseguests and I will be hosting Christmas celebrations here. I like to plan and think everything out. I’m a list and schedule girl, so that is going down this week. So I’m planning meals and getting my grocery list together. I’ll have a mix of keto friendly treats and “normal” Christmas dishes for our feasts.
Also this week my car is needing spark plug replacement, there is a leak under our kitchen sink that might require more than what my dear husband can do for it, I need to pay bills and I have a little Christmas shopping to do. I’ll do the Christmas food shopping Friday morning.
And I need to wrap presents.

I still have a cold but feeling much better. Even went for a walk. Drank bone broth and made some new. Got my Black Friday order of Perfect Keto, and tried the nut butter. It was pretty good. Also got my Mojo keto/glucometer to accurately see where I’m at, how certain foods affect my ketones and glucose.

Yesterday, at dinner I just didn’t feel well and seemed I couldn’t eat an egg but needed to eat something. So I had a typical keto meal for me, hamburger, mayo with a bit of 1 carb ketchup and 1/2 avocado. I felt much better in the evening, but still not myself. I went to bed and woke up with a cold! So, I’ll try to stay on the egg fast, but I will at least be super low carb today, only eating avocado and maybe green leafy veggies as carbs, and trying to limit dairy. I did that once for many months and I seemed my body liked that. We will see what the day brings. I wanted to do the egg fast just to sort of reset myself. I might decide to do a more beef and butter. I was watching Dr Eric Burg’s you tube videos and his beginners advice was right on. I’m not a beginner to keto, but I did go off ALL summer!

I’m doing an egg fast today. My goal is for 3 to 5 days.
General rules per my macros:
1. Minimum 8 eggs a day
2. Fats: choose one of the following for every egg eaten- 1 oz hard cheese, 1 tbs mayo, 1 tbs HWC, 1 tbs coconut oil, 1 tbs butter or 1 oz cream cheese
3. Use salt generously
4. Other spices and herbs as desired, assured they are zero carbs.
5. Coffee, tea and water.
