So, all in all, diet wise, not too bad a week under the circumstances. bearing in mind we were out to a comedy show Sunday night and dinner, Poker Monday and Tuesday night, a concert Wednesday night, crashed and burned Thursday then out for drinks with friends last night (Friday). this weekend is a long holiday weekend for Australia Day so its out to dinner tonight, then off for a barbecue and watch the fireworks tomorrow night before finally getting back to some sort of normality on the holiday Monday. I did fit in two fast days, but clearly ate (and drank) more than I should have this week. So a minor setback which I will work on swinging back the other way next week. I hope everyone has a great weekend, and fellow Aussies on here - a great Australia Day :)

So good news and bad news.........bad news is the weight is still up a tad, but the good news (and the reason for the increase) is poker last night I won yippeeeeee. knowing I had poker I did fast up until the evening, but then pizza and three rather large bourbons.........oh and I couldn't resist one piece of garlic bread TSK TSK TSK LOL. Really great night tho a late night and work today before.......guess what....another poker game tonight. the stars have aligned so that the two games I play a month usually 8 days apart have coincided so that its alternate nights. What with that and dinner and rock show (Ian Moss)tomorrow night; come Thursday at work my eyes will be blood red and hanging out of my head. life is good and my diet/lifestyle can handle a little excess now and again. Wish me luck for tonight....can I win two nights on the trot? watch this space........

Another up and down weekend ranging from .5Kg down Sunday am to 1 Kg up this morning. Food choices were a little off, but not radically so, so once again its all retained water. Today is a fast day so Im expecting a more reliable weigh in tomorrow.

Note to self......this weekend will be an AFD (alcohol free day) dinner last night with two very good friends and as usual we were the last to leave the restaurant and wouldn't leave until they made us another round of espresso martini's. My food choices were good, and looking back I didn't eat much really all day, but made up for it and I do have a bit of a headache today.............noooooooooooooooooooo not a hangover, no way lol. Great night out with good friends, and only up 100grams on the scales this morning, piece of cake that will be gone today as I rehydrate LOL. Really good work out in the gym this morning so pretty sure I have it beat already and if not then Sunday will be a fast day. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, now, wheres those headache pills...............

welcome back weight loss :) It is really interesting the wild fluctuations in weight from day to day doing IF; it looks like a graph of the stock market LOL. The rises and dips seem ridiculous at times from one day to the next, but still very interesting as it allows some self analysis of what specifically causes the ups and downs. the important thing is to realise its mostly fluid, and so long as the overall trend is moving downwards its all good. I know my major increases come from drinking, not that I drink a huge amount as I used to, but just socially. Ive realised that it's not only the 'empty' calories in alcohol, but it then dehydrates you so your body retains water, and whammo your weight goes up. I know most of you know this, and in something Im a slow learner, but its interesting that sometimes even though you know something to be true you have to experience it for yourself to really KNOW it, when its like a light bulb going on. Does it make me want to give up my Bourbon, or NZ Sauvignon Blanc? Hell no. Life is for living isn't it? and whats the point in all this sacrifice to lose weight and be more healthy and live longer if you can't have a life? Hope everyone has a good day, or night, depending where they are in the world.
