Went to the Dr. yesterday for my six-month follow up since being diagnosed with diabetes. I am down 62 pounds in the six months and my A1C dropped from 12.1 to 5.6. WHOOP!! He decided yesterday to take me off of my Farxiga (sp?) prescription. Still on the Metformin, but I go back in January and he says that if I'm still at this A1C level and keep losing weight, he will cut that dosage in half and then by the follow up after that, if I'm still the same, I will be prescription free!! I am SO excited. If I can get this mess beat within a year, I'm going to be SO excited. Definitely will be prayers answered for me! God is good, y'all!!

Alrighty!! Time to get serious again.
I go back to the Dr. on Wednesday and I'm about 6 pounds shy of my goal for this visit, but that's ok. I've still done quite well at 60 pounds in 6 months.
Y'all, flour tortillas are going to be the death of me. At first it was Corn Flakes, lol! But you can eat flour tortillas with ANYTHING! UGH!!
I've got to find the balance of eating carbs and still losing, if that's possible.
So, new goal is set. My goal is to lose 40 more pounds. The problem is that I now have hanging skin, which is disgusting, so I will eventually need to start going to the gym to get that tightened up. Since, that will make me gain weight, I'm thinking about losing 50 more pounds and then if I gain 10 back, I will still be at my goal.
We'll see how that goes!!

You know, it's so funny how backwards I can be. Two days ago, I walked 3.5 miles in the morning, worked all day, came home, cooked dinner, (ate hardly anything) mowed and weedeated the yard, cleaned AND worked out at the gym for an hour and gained a pound. Yesterday, I didn't walk at all (it was raining in the morning and I had the "don't wants" in the afternoon) I actually ate lunch, which I don't normally do AND I had taco meat quesadillas for dinner. WITH REAL FLOUR TORTILLAS! Guess what happens....that's right, I lost two. What tha????
Why can't I just be normal? LOL!
