Blood sugar is doing GREAT! Can't believe how quickly it came under complete control. Now, to get off the meds. Have to start slowly, and get the DR to work with me to lighten up. I need to lose the weight, too, but this is the start.
Other than that - it's a lazy day. Milked the two mommas this a.m., and fed babies. Let the little ones romp around. Would love to have them outside, but we have snow on the ground. No April Fools joke, we have a few inches. Pain in the dupah!
No workin', no going to town (the closest real one is an hour away), no nothing' - and I love it. Sure, laundry to do, but that's life. Mark is going to feed all the big girls, and check on the one that hasn't given birth, yet.
Ah, happy day.

Still tired today. I got home last night, and my older son was outside, flagging me down with the flashlight. Two babies were born to one of our goats. I helped him bring them up to the house, milked the one goat, and went to get the new momma to milk. Amazingly, she had a third baby with her! I was so confused that I went to check the last pregnant girl we had, to make sure that none of the new ones were hers. Nope. So, the newest one and the new momma came up to get milked. She milked real easy. I was thrilled. After she got put away, I came upstairs to check on the three (!) new ones. One girl, two boys. They did great. Stayed in the family room all night, the babies always get one night upstairs. They all drank from the bottle well, too. And, then, my Love came home at midnight, one in the morning, somewhere in there. Talked with him for a bit, passed back out, and woke up early, early to the very quiet sounds of a baby goat. Little girl was awake and hungry. Never got to go back to sleep - had to milk again, and then groceries - I really enjoy grocery shopping now - to the feed store, back home, unpack, make dinner. Still have to milk, again, feed the babies, beat the kids, and then to bed. Maybe I'll have the boys feed the babies...

YeeHaw!! After a three year hiatus - I'm back in TaeKwonDo. Tonight I took two classes. My form wasn't the best, the kicks weren't the strongest, but I gave it my all, and that includes my heart! I hurt so bad, but feel so good! I'm glad that my older son, my husband and I didn't lose rank. So, one more test and the boy and I are black belts. I figure that it will take him longer to catch up, but that's okay - I'm not testing without him. Younger son is starting over, but that's okay - he was pretty young when we stopped going. We stopped for a legitimate reason, but I really, really missed it. The boys needed a break, as well, so the time off was well spent. Now, off to take some Advil...

It's hard unpacking groceries for someone else, who isn't following the plan. I work at a small town (700 full time people) convenience store, with a roller grill and sweets and candy and soda and chips. I guess this is Karma at work, for being so nasty when I was younger. I never wanted to get over weight (who does), but I was horrid about it, in my mind. I probably said some things out loud, too, but never to that person, I didn't like being mean, either. So, now that I am where I am, Karma has decided to pay her little visit with all the guck that I can't have. I wasn't craving anything before grocery day at the store, and I'm not now. My mouth, however, wanted the textures, the tastes. I have to admit that I was over hungry, as well, so that didn't help. I was prepared with my large salad with chicken, and a bar, so I didn't cave to the temptation. Yay ME!
