Ugh, what a jump. Chardonnay is going to be the death of my dieting success. I told my husband this morning after a pretty heavy weekend of drinking that M - Th I need to be on the wagon. No wine, no whiskey. I've seen quite a few journal entries about folks who've been successful or are currently trying to slow down/halt their drinking. I just don't know if I can do it. What do you replace that with when it's become a part of who you are? I can't picture going out to eat and not having 2 or 3 glasses of wine before dinner. On Sundays we typically go to our favorite place and have a few drinks while we plan our dinners for the week, then go to the store and pick up what we need. I already do go to the gym and work out at least 3 days per week. Outside of alcohol, the only other beverages I consume are water, tea, and coffee.

Sorry for sounding so pathetic (as I reread here). One would think an adult woman could easily make this change for herself and her family.
