So, I got my new glucometer in. It's the Dario, it loads into your smart phone, and tracks your readings. It even gives you the averages for the day, last 7 days up to last 90 days. It's a lot smaller, easier to carry. Last week I was on vacation, borrowed a couple of kids from my niece and went to Orlando with them. We spent one day at SeaWorld, it was fun. I absolutely love the "Rent-A-Kid" program. I did gain weight while we were gone, but when we returned, I started walking with my hubby. Been trying to keep that up. Yesterday, I really didn't eat appropriately, but I didn't eat much. My sugar this morning was 99. Then I took my meds, drank a protein shake, went for a walk, just over 2 miles, in just over 30 minutes. Less than two hours after drinking the shake, checked my sugar again, just out of curiosity with having exercised, it was 115. About quarter to 1p, I will check again, that should be approx 2 hours after having had snacks. I am drinking Crystal Lite water, no sugar, only 10 cals; and 4 carbs. That's kind of weird, the Crystal Lite Lemonade is 5 cals, 2 carbs per half a packet, while the Mixed Berries is 0 cals, 0 carbs per whole packet. The Lemonade is one serving per half a packet, while the Mixed Berries is one serving per whole packet. I add both packets to a 32 ounce bottle of water. And my goal is to drink 2 - 32 ounce bottles of water a day.

For lunch, I plan to have a chef salad I picked up from TomThumb on my way to work today. Just a small one. I'm hoping for dinner tonight we have cabbage rolls, it's a new recipe.

Anyway, that's about all I can think of to say. Oh, I almost forgot, I thought exercising was supposed to give you energy and "feel good" whatever. I still have yet to get over needing a nap after the walk this morning, and I'm not really in a good mood. But then, every time I exercise, all I want to do when I'm through is take a nap. Bleh!

Last night for dinner we had cabbage potato soup with scallops. Not a bad dinner, then I got the munchies and fixed me a peanut butter sandwich, followed by honey nut cheerios. Pretty sure it would have been considered 2 servings of the cereal. But I did do 32 minutes on the Eliptical when I got home from work last night and this morning my blood sugar was 115, while my weight stayed the same. I'm not going to complain, but just keep plugging along. I know my main problem with dieting is having to deprive myself of things I want, while also having to always measure my servings. Today my breakfast includes a strawberries and cream premier protein shake, a boiled egg and a cup of mocha coffee. Lunch will be ramen noodles, chicken flavor with another boiled egg and probably some peanut butter for snack. I did get in 32 ounces f water yesterday outside of my coffee. So, yay me!
