Third day of marathon training. So far it doesn't feel much different from my regular routine. Next week, though, things get serious.
I have got to get some good information about fueling my body for these long runs. I also wonder to what extent I'll need to add calories to keep me fueled long-term since my short runs will become long pretty quickly.

Made this mini-goal. Back under my pre-Christmas weight. Marathon training starts for real on Sunday. I'd like to make my final goal by Marathon day. May 4th. Can I do that and still maintain enough nutrition to fuel my long runs?

New trainer kicked by backside. Love it.
I honestly think I haven't been eating enough, if that's possible. I ate way more yesterday (well, but more) and dropped like a stone.
Also found out I think I've developed a pistachio allergy. Though I've eaten them all my life, after a handful yesterday, my mouth broke out in blisters, hives inside my ears, on my scalp, neck, face, chest, shoulders, belly, and other "soft" and "sensitive" spots. Took an Allegra (the only anti-histamine in the house) and felt mildly better about an hour later. Still rashed this morning, still swollen--especially my tongue--and a ripping stomach ache, but vastly better than last night. So sad. I love my pistachios. I must investigate what else I should avoid if this is a true allergy (will make an appointment with allergist today). I don't ever want to feel like this again!

I know I'm gaining a little/maintaining as far as the scale goes, but my bf% is still dropping and I'm back in my size 4 jeans today. This is due, I am sure, to weight lifting. My new trainer is terrific...and is kicking my serious ass. Very happy with this weigh-in.
