Okay, was doing fair and learning a little more, and then went to see the grandkids and caught their virus/cold/flu/whatever! And was sick for almost 2 weeks, during which time I totally got off track. Also during this time, my husband for who-knows-what-reason decided to respond to my diet change be behaving in the total opposite way he ever has! Like he rarely if ever eats cookies, and NEVER diet cookies, goes and buys from the bakery, large sugar-free chocolate chip cookies that no one has ever ate! He eats a couple the whole time saying that it was a big mistake and leaves for work with them laying right in front of me! Then he buys some of my favorite cookies and leaves out! I'm not suppose to have any grain, because of healing my esophagus and stomach, much less the carbs! Of course, being sick and me resistance down, I ate them! lol! Keeps getting hot fudge sundaes from sonic (sorry), made supper for me once while I was sick - hamburger patty (great) and a large baked potato! I just gave up! Well, almost! Now I'm back starting again and have a book to help me, also had a nice talk about what was allowed and not, and that he can have what he wants, just not flaunting it in front of me! At least while I am getting started! lol! PS: it was so worth seeing my children even getting sick! yay!

Okay, been two weeks, and the second week was the hardest. Was getting headaches, dizzy and sick for several days, figured out, yes, I was getting the keto flu! Have been reading other people's post and learning a lot. Also, joined a keto and a low-carb group on facebook. All this has been helping me so much, thank you, everyone who adds a post of your experiences and what did or didn't help, because each thing helps the rest of us! Anyway, after studying all the posts, the next morning I added some salt and some protein mix to my smoothie. Also, going to find a way to add more magnesium. Have always been short on that anyway. And it all worked. Still get a bit dizzy from time to time, but no more headaches. The last two days have been much better, just don't forget your vitamins! Trust me! ;D

Feel better today. Survived shopping yesterday. Got a few ideas of what to get to eat, but was so exhausted can't remember when I got home what I was going to make! But this morning (still stressed) am working again on making a menu plan. Tried to find some things that I can snack on if I start craving sweets! May take forever, but I will succeed! Medicine came in today for healing the esophagus and stomach (and intestines). It's called Phygest. I am excited to see how it does. It is clear, tasteless and a little thick so it is smooth going down. Just what I needed. But you only take 1/2 tsp each morning and night. More good news is: I weighed this morning and I had lost 2 lbs! Yay! Well, I tend to stay the same or gain, it took at least 5 years to lose 10 lbs and keep it off, so I am really excited!
