SMALL amount of ketones today, FINALLY!!!! Let the fat burning begin! I told the counselor at the weight loss clinic that my goal is to get back into ketosis and I did it!
I am going to a cookout this evening so my goals today and forevermore are:
1. Make good food choices
2. Remember that I am making a lifetime choice, not a choice in the moment
3. I AM NOT food's b*tch!! I run this!

I have been made a valiant effort this week to stay on the straight and narrow with my diet and exercise, but my son had an incident today that made me want to run straight to a donut, cake, cookie, anything sweet. As of 1:34 pm I have continued to resist. Do people who don't have weight issues do that? Do they have an issue happen in their lives and they immediately want to be comforted by food? I have never been 200+ pounds, but that does not matter, I have struggled with my weight since my 30's.

I COMFORT MYSELF WITH FOOD
I AM ALSO TIRED OF LIVING LIKE A YO-YO IN REGARDS TO MY DIET AND WEIGHT GAIN
Maybe I am stressed because of the wedding, but I am also very fed up with my behavior. Perhaps this is me hitting rock bottom and wanting to make a change forever. Nobody wants to be tired all the time.

I tested for ketones today and maybe there is a trace amount. My goal this week is to get back into ketosis. I will test again on Friday and hope for the best. If I can get back into ketosis I want to stay there this time.
Here comes the diet math...
I will burn 400 calories a day on the elliptical machine this week. Six days times 400 is 2400 calories burned. Plus my calorie deficit, whatever that is and whatever I burned during my Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs classes at the gym AND my calories burned just from daily living I should be able to lose at least a pound this week.

Seems like I am always experimenting with my diet. I don't think it will always be this way, but in order to try and lose 4 more pounds I have to try some new stuff; shake things up a bit.
1. Fast until lunch time
2. Salad for lunch with protein
3. Work out at the gym. Today is boot camp, but I have been using the elliptical machine prior to my classes (I burn 400 calories on the machine).
4. Eat dinner
GOALS: Complete 94 bicycle sit ups every night and 50 push ups a day. Lose 4 stinking pounds so I can be at the same weight I was when I first tried on my wedding dress.

This weekend I ate as though I did not know the meaning of the word "diet". The struggle this week (pretty much all weeks) is REAL!

My fitting went okay. The dress was able to zip, but it was a little snug in the back, so she will let it out. I pick up the dress on June 30th, I am going to try and lose hopefully four more pounds by then. I am not getting married until July 13th and we will be celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday July 7 and 8 and then we are going to Paris from July 9 to the 11th, then I am going to have a bachelorette party in Amsterdam the evening of July 11 and married on the 13th. I could kick myself for such poor planning. I have to be good while in Paris and at the birthday party. No fresh croissants for me, macaroons or anything else that is yummy. I guess in the end it will all be worth it. After the wedding we are going to Belgium so I will be partaking in some of their famous chocolate!!
