APRIL 8, 2014: had a rough day yesterday. Was planning on cooking fish and veggies for supper - then came the family with Pizza...my huge downfall. Had 3 pieces...then I got the mentality that I already ate like crap, I will have a runaway night, and tapped into the chips and dip...then another piece of pizza! Felt very guilty about it, and had a restless sleep...here's to a better day.

APRIL 7, 2014: Have had a good day today. Ate Ideal Protein and veggies during the day. Was going to make chicken breasts and veggies for supper, but my bro-in-law made his delicious spaghetti dish. I indulged in that, however, only had around 1.5 cups. I put my fork down after every bite, and revelled in the taste. Down on my fat content, now just battling my carb to protein ratio...I have also decided to lower my goal weight and begin making mini weight loss goals. I am very easily discouraged if I don't see fast results, and its intimidating to have such a large weight loss number...

APRIL 6, 2014: Surprised myself over the weekend. Yesterday, cobbs bread was giving away free hot cross buns, and I politely turned them down. No snacking after supper...even during a movie! Went to y nephews hockey this morning, and didnt get a chance to eat before I left. Got super hungry, and instead of ordering delicious rink food, I ordered a veggie dish. Made an indoor drive in movie theatre afternoon with my nephew - complete with consession filled all sorts of delicious snacks. I settled with 2 cups of buttered popcorn.

APRIL 5, 2014: Had a good day throughout the day yesterday - even resisted the urge to order from Boston Pizza with the other ladies. Stuck with IP and fresh veggies. Wasn't hungry when I got home, so didn't eat a chicken wrap until around 8...then all heck broke loose. Everyone went to bed, and I was up alone. Bring on the snacks! :( started with buttered popcorn, then to a handful of chips, then to a package of lifesaver gummies...that's when I awoke from my binge and slapped myself to stop! All that hard work yesterday seemed to go out the window, all because of an old habit that I always ate while sitting on the couch watching tv. They say on Ideal Protein that you should stay away from exercise...what are your thoughts?

APRIL 4, 2014: I have been faithfully following the Ideal Protein Diet for 10 days now, and am getting discouraged. I am the type of person who needs to see results fast, or I give up and binge eat until the next diet. I have lost 4 lbs, which isn't terrible, but a friend of mine has lost 7lbs her first week, and has a lot more cheats than me. Seeing her results made me frustrated and discouraged.
I have been working in the office for the past 2 weeks, and it has been a daily struggle. The ladies order in every day for lunch, so while they are enjoying their subway, boston pizza, McDonalds, etc, I am munching away on veggies. It has been super tough, but so far I have been able to resist the urges to eat fast food! I just about gave in today; allowing myself an 'its Friday' excuse.
