It was truly a busy summer. My daughter's wedding then a trip to Scotland. I managed to walk 53 miles in 5 days. I'm still following the BFC, just not tracking calories as closely. My weight keeps fluctuating 5 pounds more or less. I can't seem to get below 145. It's a bit frustrating. I need to increase my exercise, I guess. Wonder if anyone else has any suggestions?

I'm maintaining which,I think is the best I can hope for at this point. It's been a crazy time.My husband had a skin cancer scare, my ex-husband contacted me(after no contact for 35 years), all this while planning our daughter's wedding.In the past I would have sedated myself with coconut cake. My husband is fine,the wedding is this Saturday and I haven't fallen off the BFC plan. I still need to lose about 20lbs, but I'm thankful for what I've been able to accomplish and maintain.
Hope everyone is hanging in there. Summer is so filled with temptation. I'm sticking with my mantra, not sure where I saw it; Nothing tastes as good and losing weight has made me feel.

Ok. The bad news is I gained 1/2lb. It's been so hard to record what I'm eating these days. I've been busy, busy, busy...my daughter's wedding is less than 3 weeks away. But I haven't gone off the wagon, sugar is not my friend.
Good news, I went to the Dr. today. She was almost giddy with delight when she compared my lipid profile for this month from the one done in Feb 2009. My Triglycerides dropped 160 points, LDL is down 48, HDL (good cholesterol) is up 10.
I am so happy with my improved health. "There is no food that tastes as good as this weight loss makes me feel." This is my new mantra.

I am so happy with this loss. I haven't recorded here for a few days, but have been carefully measuring what I eat. We had out of town guests and lots of activity leading up to our daughter's wedding shower Saturday. I feel so good about being able to stick to the BFC program while being surrounded by my sister's homemade cookies, cake and brownies. Not too mention her going out to dinner somewhere where dessert comes with the meal.
The one thing that keeps me going now is; there is no sugary food that makes me feel as good as being a healthier weight does.
