Hi, I'm 46 years old and have gradually been gaining weight for 18 months. I was in a lot pain, couldn't exercise and gained about 60 pounds. I had a surgery in February that took care of my pain, and now that I'm healed I'm trying hard to lose all the weight I've gained. I know I can do it because in '92 I lost 110 pounds, and kept it off. However it is alot harder to lose it now that I'm 46 years old. I started out walking 2 to 3 miles a day, to the point my legs was hurting so much I switched to a bicycle. I can ride it 10 miles and do this twice a week, and the other days I ride or walk at least 45 minutes or more a day every day. I chose the Atkins diet as it seems to be the only one I can lose weight right now.
