44 years old, married with 3 kids. 5'10 and joined the site at 255lbs.
I have a great life and have enjoyed traveling all over the world. I didn't really settle down in one spot till my early thirties.
Since then, with kids and career I've put on about 50 lbs I don't need.
I love my work, it's very creative, but I'm at the computer most of the day and when I'm not I'm usually in a meeting, or worse, a working lunch.
I'm a bit of a geek, which I love, and I know myself very well; I have a very addictive personality. If 2 is good then 3 must be better. And I can eat. My mother is a truly great chef and I know and love good food.
I love this website. What changed it all for me was my phone. I found the FS mobile app and realized I had something I carry around with me all day long that would help make me accountable to myself.
I chose WW because my doctor recommended it for it's simplicity, and I agree, counting is easy. I've had good success so far and I definitely feel like I have all the tools I need to get this done.
I enjoy the community of the website, so I've filled out my bio to better participate.
At my heaviest, I hit 260, I'm sure of it, not that I wanted to see a scale.
I enjoy going to the gym and I go most weekdays, always very early in the AM. It's the only way I know I'll get there and I like how it sort of 'sets' my stomach for the day ahead. Weekends are fairly active with the kids.
I also have learned to enjoy the game of counting my points. It's pretty black and white and I'm clear what I need to do.
My goals:
1 - 225
2 - 200
3 - 180? I'm not sure if my metabolism will let me get there at 44, but I'm going for it. I'll cross that bridge when I get under 200.
Good luck and a shot of confidence to everyone who's making the effort.
