I'm a 23-year-old woman and soon-to-be medical student. After years of fatigue and being overweight, I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I'm joining FatSecret to keep track of my diet and exercise and to help me get on track to living a healthier lifestyle. I'm hoping to lose 25 lbs over the next few months before school and my sister's wedding. As a future doctor, I have a responsibility to myself and my patients to take care of my health and be a positive role model. It's not effective to say "do as I say and not as I do." If I'm not willing to take charge of my health, I can't ask patients to either.
Oh, and did I mention that I wanna wear a bikini? Because I do. :)
Goals:
1) Look HOT in my clothes
2) Improve strength, flexibility, and endurance
3) Eat a mostly plant-based diet supplemented by lean protein
4) Reduce caffeine consumption
5) Have energy!
6) Wear a bikini by the end of the summer
7) Be active every day, do formal exercise 4-5 days per week
