Just turned 27 years old. I'm 5'9". Some say that I don't need to lose weight but I've learned how to hide it with clothes. My BMI says I'm overweight. My clothes agree with my BMI. My energy level also tells me otherwise. I was never skinny so I don't expect to be. I want to be fit, comfortable with my body and energized. I know that with age, your body changes, you gain weight in places you never have, you gain weight quicker. Everything changes. This process has started for me in the last 2 years. I always had a pretty decent stomach and now its completely gone. A tire seems to have settled in exchange. I have to learn a new way of life and eating. My view of food and why I eat needs to change. Exercise needs to be part of my daily routine.
My 5 year wedding anniversary is coming up in october (2009). So my goal is to be at a happy and healthy weight. If that means 155lbs, not 135 lbs then that's find with me. The scale is not what is important to me.
So here's to the bumpy journey to health and fitness. Looking forward letting these extra pounds bite the dust.
