I am 55 years old as of 2023 and wanted to lose some weight after the new year started.
I never really felt fat before but when the scale raced towards 200lb and my jeans started to get more and more tight it was time to scale back.
I have done P90X in the past on and off but this time around my main weapon of choice is intermittent fasting ( plus workouts ). I lost about 20lb within 2 months and have now set my new goal to lose an additional 10lb, to get into the 20% body fat range.
I also want to gain and retain some muscle mass, as I have read up on the effects aging has on your muscles, your metabolism, and your bone density.
Let's see how this is going to turn out. I have struggled for the last month to shed 5lb, and losing more weight seems to get harder with each additional pound I lose.
