Nash Vegas area, I work with computer servers, but I'm rarely sitting still. Before my back surgery (10 years ago), I was into kayaking, backpacking, mountain biking - pretty much anything outside. Then after the surgery, I got lazy - because it hurt to do the exercises and instead of going slow, and taking it one day at a time, I didn't and got frustrated, still get frustrated. I was 155 lbs and now I'm up to 179, from 8% body fat to 24%. Now I'm ready to change. I rarely eat out (no fast food) haven't had soda in months, (or sweetened beverages) and yet I still couldn't lose weight. Now I'm watching carbs and calories, as I must have eaten way too much and not frequent enough. I'm ready. This week is the start of something new. I want to hike the entire Appalachian trail and it's going to take me losing weight and exercising. So here I am.
