I'm 73 years old and live in Central Florida; it gets very hot and humid here and interferes with outdoor exercising so I'm often indoors more than I'm outdoors, and I don't like that. In Sept I will be 5 years clear of colon cancer if my next scan comes in normal. I have a stoma now and have to wear a colostomy pouch for the rest of my life; I hated it at first, but now I'm quite used to it. I have to be careful of certain foods, if they are too fibrous, etc., but it's not a big problem. During cancer treatment I had no appetite at all, I had to force food into myself, it was very hard to do, because of that I became underweight. Once the cancer was removed my appetite went from normal to being very strong and I have gained more weight than I want to carry on my body. I'm only 5' tall so just a few pounds look to be twice as much on me - 10 lbs looks like 20 lbs - it's awful. I want to lose 32 lbs. I love music, especially live music shows and I love going to music festivals, I'm an old hippie who thinks she is still 25 years old - I want to keep that feeling, that feeling of energy and all things are possible.
