I remember watching the numbers on the scale climb one day and they stopped at 296 lbs. I had to fight to hold back tears. I couldn't believe I had gotten to that point. After a lot of emotional dealings, I have commited myself to losing 110 lbs, healthily, without fad diets or gimmicks. I want to do it by making basic lifestyle changes, so here I am, hopefully for some support.
I am 27 and a hairstylist. My job requires a good deal of physical work as I stand a lot and my knees and legs are constantly working. I love my career and need to change my life so I can stay in it for as long as I want. I have always been big. I was 5'7 in grade 4 and not stand 5'9 ( yes, the growing slowed down a lot ). I have no desire or thoughts to be a size 6 or to weigh any less then 160lbs. However, I want to be as healthy as I can, whatever that means.
I have decided to set some small goals for me an when I reach them, I will give myself a present. ( Mostly new clothes is the plan ) So, here they are:
