Opened profile right up to everyone, and did my first weigh in, not to develop a great habit by repeating for 2 weeks

The only crappy thing is I will be going up to the cottage on the 11 of July 2012 and returning on the 16th of July 2012.

There tents to be a lot of drinking and its a great time to let lose as you are in the middle on no place.
So to counter the effects of drinking I have offered up my services as a handy man to redo a roof on the cottage and repairs of the deck should keep me busy for at least 2 days (Not a huge roof)
I take 10 Dewalt xpr batteries and run them until they are dead. Then I stop working.

This year I will take that new product mio that when mixed tastes great and cuts out 90% of the sugar in some of the canned drinks. I know its still not good for you but I will cut where I can and still enjoy.

Any other tips anyone has for when you are up north no power and lots of food and booze??

Taking walks or reading a book. You could bring your own healthy foods.I don't know, I'd have quite a challenge with that myself. If you can make a plan before you leave, that will be the key to your success!

Hey Jasontb! Mermaid83 brought up a good point to bring your own healthy food with you to munch on. Let's not forget you're going to want to munch most when you're drinking!! So here's another tip about food, if there's a store called "Aldis" anywhere around you, take a trip inside. Buy different nuts like pistachios, peanuts, almonds and walnuts (don't forget raisins!) and make your own trail mix. The saltiness will go great with whatever you're drinking! The only reason why I suggest Aldis is because they are CHEAP. I just bought a whole bunch of nuts today to make my own trail mix from them! If you're going somewhere that doesnt have power, I assume you're going to be spending a lot of time by a camp fire. Why don't you be the designated lumber jack? Through out the day go into the woods and gather fire wood of all sizes, even if you can carry the logs or sticks all at once, don't! Take multiple small trips! Going for a walk/hike is a great idea also! Make the most out of the no power and being surrounded by nature...I'm assuming you'll be in nature lol. And as for the lots of food....try to stay away from a lot of carbs and starch. Stick with mainly protein and veggies!!
