FRUSTRATED! My scales aren't budging right now. It's very frustrating.

Last night I went to the gym as soon as my husband got home to look after the kids and was really chuffed that I managed to break my personal best and run 2.3K cumulatively. I even managed to run the 1st Km straight through and wasn't puffed until the last 10m. I really felt like my fitness level was stepping up!

Then when I weighed myself this morning, I saw I hadn't lost anything! Not a single gram. The number on the scales was staring at me and I just wanted to take the scales and throw them off the verandah! I'm eating between 1500 & 1700 cals a day. Im trying to move as much as possible. I throw in a weight training day every week. And I feel like I am showing very little loss for my huge amount of effort.

Makes me want to break out the chocolate cake, Blue cheese and Wine.

I hear you on the frustration.. I just have one question.. Would you eat the chocolate cake, blue cheese and wine.. all at the same time? :) Just kidding.. dont let the scale keep you down.. you are probably just carrying some extra water weight.. dont fret give it a week watch the grams roll off. (not really good with metric system.. I think grams are small so maybe watching something bigger roll off would be better but you get the point) any hooo good luck and keep up the good fight!

Trust me...sometimes my scale is my nemesis! Everyone goes through periods where you are doing everything right but the numbers don't add up. Just keep working at it and you'll be surprised (in a good way) at the result! One big thing that I've learned is that if you are doing the same workout all of the time, try switching it up. You'll be fine!

If you exercise a lot, you need to keep measurements or at least notice how your clothes are fitting. Sometimes the scale doesn't move, but we start losing fat/inches and going down in sizes. I had a friend who didn't see the scale move for 4 months but went down 4 sizes. You just have to keep at. The scale will eventually move. (The scale is only one way to measure weight loss success, how our clothes fit is another).

I am sure that you have heard this... muscle weighs more than fat... right? I bet you are building muscle so the scale isn't moving. Plus thing is that the muscle burns more calories than the fat does. So keep up the good work!
