When you have to go to the grocery store and fuel up your truck when there's a monsoon outside, it's nice to have cheetah inspired rain boots, lol. Pair that with a Resse's Peanut Butter Cup T-shirt, and you've got a true fashion statement going!! LOL

Are you a closet Walmartian? On any given day when I stop at WM on my way home from the gym I always think, “oh no, I HAVE become a Walmartian.”

LOL, in the little town we live in, Walmart is about all we have. That and Dollar General! We actually have the second smallest Walmart ever built! In our small county, we have at least 5 DG! Honestly, I wish we were big enough to have a Super Walmart, because they tend to be so much cheaper on food and they have expanded their selection recently of healthier/organic foods. I have a love/hate relationship with the place, lol.

LSG you can order online and most products are delivered free to your local Walmart. We have done this with no problems as we travel in our motorhome and don't always have an address to ship it too.

Me too— love hate relationship. I wander all over town looking for something and end up finding it at WM. Some day I will get smart enough to check there FIRST..

We don't have much around here either. We do have a super Walmart in a close town. It is usually crowded, long lines due to too few aisles being open for checkout, people use it for social setting conversations. Always having to say "excuse me" to get down an aisle to shop because of the groupings of people in conversation. Usually takes me two hours to get out of there, more if someone stops to chat with me! So I just order somethings online and go to Food Lion, the only food place other than what sells in Family Dollar or Dollar General. Still, I love small towns!!

Where do you all live— Anaheim, California here. I have 3 WM in a 3 mile Radius. 30 hospitals in a 15 mile radius and hundreds of Starbucks. I year for peace and quiet sometimes.

You'd love my town then, Kenna. About 3,000 (mostly retired) people on the Oregon Coast... Have to travel to Coos Bay to go to Walmart! Just one of the aspects that I love about this little town is that I am not tempted by a variety of fast food joints - we only have McDonald's and DQ.

I'm in Warsaw, VA. Like I said, I love my small town. We do have restaurants here. One is a Chinese restaurant, one Italian, a sandwich place, a Burger King and my favorite a gourmet restaurant that serves closer to my low carb WOE. Prices are high for this area.

I do love our little town, unfortunately we have a multitude of fast food joints. The only ones I will occasionally go to are Bojangles or Wendy's. That is rare. Usually only do fast food when I'm forced to these days, like when traveling. We are a huge tourist destination. Lots of waterfalls, hiking and Pisgah National Forest, with the Blue Ridge Parkway, too. Close to Asheville, which is another huge destination. We just don't have a lot to offer when it comes to retail. I do Amazon a lot!!

Pixie722. Your small town wouldn’t be Florence would it? My best friend lives in Lincoln City. I have gone up into Oregon for the last two years, just meandering around seeing all the places I never saw as a kid, then ending up at her house a few weeks later. So beautiful. She wants me to move up there, but this SoCal life and weather is hard to give up. I could ski and surf on the same day if I wanted to. Surfer girl as a younger person. Still a major beach person, but now do more hiking than ocean swimming and never got into skiing. Will probably stay here and enjoy long vacations elsewhere.

Kattay— my brother lives in Gainesville, about 30 miles south of DC. Such beautiful country as well. He and his family are big outdoors people, so I have had a terrific opportunity to see where they hike, camp and kayak. With our drought here in SoCal, we are lucky to have water to drink. I’ll have to check the map and see where you all live. Actually, I think that would be cool to include where we live — I do look at some of the things people eat and think, OMG that comes from a can, but I try to remember that maybe a lot of people don’t have access to even frozen stuff as readily as other places in the country. A learning curve for me.

Kenna, you're very close!! I live in between Florence and Coos Bay... They are pretty much equidistant from my town, which is Reedsport. I lived in Inglewood when I was just a tot, and I like LA. Then we moved to Ukiah, Santa Rosa, then college in Santa Barbara. I'm basically a Cali girl 🌞

I do love your boots LSG417! It is beautiful around here too. Not really a big tourist destination. Lots of water with small creeks, inlets, ponds, Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay nearby. You can forget about surfing here though :) Lots of fishing, crabbing, boating, etc. Laid back country life. So many people are hanging on to that way of life here.

Pixie722– I lived on Santa Rosa, and Cotati/Rohnert Park during my hippie years in the late ‘60s. So many terrific places.

Kattay— I did look up where you live. I saw that you have great rivers, streams and waterways of all kinds. Really seems like a great way of life.
