Been up since 4:30 AM, been extremely fatigued, poor sleep, inability to match previous best in workouts, and having deep pain in joints and muscles that ought not be there, and my resting heart rate has climbed about 6-8 points over the last three weeks, time to deload. I'm not really sure how to go about that, but will do some research. for now I will back down by 50% for a week to try and recover. If you have any tips feel free to toss them out. My 8-10% BF is always illusive. I think I am near 10%. Ugh!

How frequently are you lifting? Do you need more rest?

Five times a week, average 90 minutes a day, always striving to out-best myself. Yes I think I'm over training, hence the "deload" comment I made in my post. Thanks for the comment HardDay.

I'm assuming that deloading means lower weight. I've had to make same choices since my early 50's. I've accepted "less is more" when it comes to weight. Joints are happier, and tone is probably more realistic goal for me than bulk at this point. It's been an adjustment to stop chasing prior metrics of health, like how much I could lift, and chase new ones, like how consistent can I be. sounds like you're making healthy choices.

Nah, still chasing the old metrics. But I'm guessing my body is going to quit before my mind. I figured as long as I'm making personal gains I will pursue them.
