today I got on the scale and saw that i was down a total of 4 pounds. i was so excited. i know i need to start exercising but i can't the time or energy. I really need to focus myself more so I can get started with a regular routine.

Start with one day a week for 15 minutes and work your way up. You don't have to start off with 2 hours/5 days a week. Do a little at a time and see how much you can fit in. Any amount is better than no exercise.

Way to go on the 4 pounds!! Remember that being active around the house can count toward (but not replace) your exercise goals for the day. I know if I go fast enough that I can work up a sweat vacuuming the house! Other options to get you moving more are parking farther away and walking or walking the mall. You may want to find a friend who also wants to increase activity and ask them to be your walking buddy. I had a friend that I walked with almost every day before I moved to where I live now. My evening walking time was something I looked forward to because of the "girl time" it provided. Exercise is so very important for us women, not just for weight control but also to help prevent degenerative diseases like osteoporosis. Make the time and you will be glad you did!!
