I am a busy mother of three, own my own business, run the children around, and look after the house. After I had my third and LAST baby, I decided it was time to get back in shape and reclaim my body as my own!
In February, I started walking 3 times a week, for at least an hour per time. Then with a friend, I started swimming a couple of time a week as well. I wasn't watching what I was eating particularly, however I did give up 5 o'clock wine time every day except for Friday afternoon.
By doing this, I lost a couple of kilos but kept on gaining it back after every weekend, which was a very depressing situation to be in.
Until one day, I'd decided it was time to get serious. It was getting too cold to go to the pool and swim any more, so I joined a gym. For the first time in 13 years. That was 3 weeks ago and I am LOVING it. I am now watching my calorie intake and on the advice of my Personal Trainer, have started eating 6 small meals a day rather than the 2 big meals a day that I was eating.
I try to go to the gym 3- 4 times a week. I am following a training program which incluse cardio and weights training. I have gone from 90.5kg to 87.6kgs. Which is a weight loss of 3kgs! For the first time since I started, I have kept that weight off and continue to lose it. I feel more energetic when I have been to the gym, stronger and less stressed.
I have a wedding to attend in June, where I am a bridesmaid, so I am hoping to achieve my weight loss goal of 70kgs by then. But for now, reaching my 5kg mark in the next week or so would be FANTASTIC!!!!
