Up at 4:00. Did an easy 2.0 miles at under 11:45 pace. Sticking to the training plan. Cross-train tomorrow, then 5.0 mile tempo run at 10:00 pace on Thursday. I am liking this plan. Been able to do my 8.0 mile runs 2 Sundays in a row with no ill effects afterwards. At my age, I'll take it. 9.0 miles this Sunday. Looking forward to it; will be the farthest I have run in over 9 years. It has actually been a pretty moderate training plan. Typically, I would just be careful not to increase my overall mileage by more than 10% per week, and my overall mileage for the week has only been increasing by about 5% - about a mile per week overall. That could explain why I'm feeling a lot more limber, and enjoying it more. Countdown to 5K race = 18 days, and if things go well - 15K a month later on June 16th.
Have a great day!

looking forward to 9 miles.? i would have never understood that kind of comment before, but I find myself looking forward to my long slow runs more than the other ones, so long as it's nice and I'm doing it outside!
